The practice cultivates the space of choreography as an exciting playground for endless games and activities. It invites you to remain in a state of heightened concentration on a given moment and to improve your articulation skills, both those regarding the body and those regarding the expression of your thoughts through the body. The work explores the contemporary approaches to issues of virtuosity, with a pinch of theatricality and a wink towards subcultures (which also manifest physically).

The goal of the workshop is to emphasise the importance of constructing your own daily dance (and choreographic) practice. It consists of specific exercises, but also of improvisations in which only the departure point is determined and the aim is simply to DANCE – lots of flamboyant, ecstatic and energetic dancing! Our mission is to explore the dance studio as an unlimited plane for playing, discovering new forms and consistently shifting the limits of what we can do. The workshop offers the opportunity to explore, in a group, and define our individual movement and choreographic practices.

“Five years ago, I became very curious about finding my own dance practice to understand better how I dance, move, negotiate patterns and thoughts. So I set myself the task of dancing every day. When I say dancing, I mean it in the truest (traditional) sense. Unleashing an internal force, re-connecting with the feelings and ideas that encouraged me to dance in the first place, to pursue (every day) my own dancing manifesto.”
