Jakub Wittchen is a young photographer/photo-journalist, whose photographical passion is to depict movement. Kuba is a self-made photographer, hence, it is extremely hard to find any contamination with present photographical trends in his works. His ultimate aim is to maintain a fresh perspective on light and movement. The exihibition presented during the Malta Festival is the first (after the previous smaller one) large-scale exibition of Kuba's works, wholly dedicated to dance. He has accompanied nearly all dance events held at the Old Brewery for two years. The photographical collages constitute a story about a multitude of encounters with dancers, choreographers, spectacles... The images cought by the eye of the camera, construct mini-narratives attempting to comment on the, often transitory, essence of a dance spectacle and keep it.
