He is currently the recipient of a Dance Fellowship from the Australia Council.

His interweaving of language and movement, in combination with his fierce commitment to communication, produces tragi-comic pieces that are entertaining and touching. He cannot describe the themes he works with because these are always changing and often unconscious, but he is deeply affected by the world we now live in. Working improvisationally means themes emerge in subtle and unpredictable ways.

Oh Well is part of Platform East  - Berlin & Eastern Europe, a platform for Australian artists and Australian-European collaborations, curated by Rosalind Crisp/Omeo Dance, assisted by the Australian government through the Ministry for the Arts’ Catalyst - Australian Arts and Culture Fund. Andrew Morrish is also supported by the Australian Government through the Australia Council, its arts funding and advisory body.
