In 2008 Art Stations Foundation by Grażyna Kulczyk established and joined European Dancehouse Network (EDN).
The aim and mission of the European Dancehouse Network (EDN) is to promote and present dance art and artists cross borders and to promote the professional development of dance artists, dance infrastructure and dance as an art form, by using the experience and strengths of each network partner.
Profile of a Dancehouse:
- presentation, promotion and support of contemporary dance and its production through an annual ongoing programme as its primary purpose
- public mandate or mission under an independent artistic direction (e. g. not to promote the interests of a single artist, company or membership collective)
- regular engagement with dance and related issues at local and international level
- an ongoing programme of learning, engagement and participation
- facilities for dance production, research and presentation
- rehearsal space and supporting systems for professional choreographers and dancers
- dance information resources for professionals and the general public
Aims and Objectives of the European Dancehouse Network:
- to support dance artists in their artistic, professional development and international recognition
- to promote the practical feasibility of Dancehouses as viable models contributing to dance infrastructural development in Europe
- to advocate for the needs, values and potential of dance as an art form locally and internationally.
