ASF TEENS is a series of workshops for junior and secondary school students. The goal is to familiarize them with the current exhibition in the Art Stations gallery which shows relations between the artist's gesture and drawing.
Just as the concept of the exhibition reaches far beyond a traditional definition of drawing, the workshops, too, will aim at unlocking the limitless creative potential of the technique. Further meetings will concern the relationship between movement, gesture and the trace they leave behind on a photograph. The word photography is derived from Greek and is a combination of the words "photos" - light, and "graphein" - drawing. Together with the participants, we shall be asking the question of what is a drawing in modern art, and to what extent can movement and light be involved in it as a medium.
The lecturers and graduates from the University of Arts in Poznań were invited to help us in the workshops. The partner of the workshops is Ogólnopolskie Biennale Artystyczne im. Jacka Kuronia [The Jacek Kuron Polish Art Biennale].
The maximum number of participants is 20. Registration on a first come, first served basis.
