ASF TEENS is a series of workshops for junior and secondary school students. The goal is to familiarize them with the current exhibition in the Art Stations gallery which shows relations between the artist's gesture and drawing.
Just as the concept of the exhibition reaches far beyond a traditional definition of drawing, the workshops, too, will aim at unlocking the limitless creative potential of the technique. The first two meetings will be devoted to discussing the relations between movement and gesture and the trace which they leave in space. We will try to find answers to the following questions: "What is the definition of drawing in contemporary art?" and "To what extent can movement, dance or performance be connected with this medium?".
The lecturers and graduates from the University of Arts in Poznań were invited to help us in the workshops. The partner of the workshops is Ogólnopolskie Biennale Artystyczne im. Jacka Kuronia [The Jacek Kuron Polish Art Biennale].
The maximum number of participants is 20. Registration on a first come, first served basis. To sign up, send an email to: k.woynicz @ artstationsfoundation5050.com
