Simone Aughterlony was born in New Zeland. Since 1994 she has been cooperating with various European choreographers, such as Lisa Densem and Carol Brown. Then, in 2000, she joined Meg Stuart / Damaged Goods and worked on the production of the famous "Highway 101" as well as the cult "Disfigure Study", where she replaced Meg Stuart.

After she moved to Zürich to work with Meg Stuart, she collaborated with Stefan Pucher in the theater production of "We can work it out" and choreographed with Falk Richter (For Belter Word-7 seconds. 2003). As a performer she appeared in a number of warmly received productions of the Damaged Goods (e.g. “alibi ; visitors only”). Simone led dance workshops organized by the Damaged Goods during the Wiener Tanzwochen and Tanzhaus Zürich. Since Meg Stuart moved to Berlin, Simone has been an independent dancer and choreographer. The duo “Perfromers on Trial” (2005) is her second self-produced performance and a continuation of her solo debut “Private Property” (2004). The Damaged Goods' latest spectacle “Bare Back Lying” had its premiere in 2005.
