A surrealistic fairy-tale... A philosophical story about seaking the truth. A modern spectacle engaging a female dancer, a drummer and a vocalist. Lizard's Manifesto is a perverse question about the nature of a great scientific myth of our times and about its sonority for our perception of the world. How does it influence our sense of meaning and freedom?
Lizard's Manifesto is, in its essence, a manifesto of imagination and dreams in a world chocked by rational schemes.
The spectacle is also an artistic manifsto. It exceeds conventional definitions. It takes advantage of pastish. However, it does not just stop there. It poses questions about the very convention of pastish, it undermines it and evokes mystery. As a composition, it contains theatre, dance, a musical concert, as well as a video instalation. The genre boundaries are blured. The language of the spectacle is a constant confrontation of two, separate worlds, which create a peculiar inter-genre form. However, the formula of the performance remains uncovered till the very end. Three performers create a fantastic world and full of irony as well as auto-irony message, with the help minimalistic staging. No particular quality is a dominant one: absurd confronts mystery and a rock performance transforms into a riddle.
